Mounjaro™ (tirzepatide) and Ozempic® (semaglutide) are both injectable medications that target GLP-1 receptors. However, Mounjaro also targets GIP receptors. This dual-action activity may offer improved metabolic benefits, potentially leading to more pronounced weight loss and better blood sugar management.

Choosing between Mounjaro™ and semaglutide (Ozempic®/Wegovy®) often depends on individual health considerations, current medications, and personal goals.
